Two weeks from now we'll be at the White Privilege Conference. It's that close. For WACAN central, it's our busiest time of the year. WACAN central is not such a big place, so we get spread thin. For now, a quick report. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Summit registration is running well ahead of last year with 32 people registered for Wednesday and 43 people for Saturday. Registration is still open. WACAN will waive late fees until April 10.

The recently passed International Day for the Elimination of Racism produced a story about the racial climate of Edmonton, and also the Toronto police, who used the day to publicize an agreement to eliminate institutional racism in their operation. The European Union marked the day by re-confirming its stance against racism. In the U.S....nothing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The story has been widely, but unevenly, circulated, and spawned a brief discussion in the Multiracial Forum at WACAN.org.
