Types of events we are looking for
Events that have a theme specific to white anti-racists and white anti-racism such as workshops, conferences, talks, meetings, film premiers, etc. with content on whiteness, white privilege, what white people can do about racism, how white people fit in a multiracial world, etc. Also, any event where white anti-racists are explicitly requested in a supportive and/or ally role.
Events we probably cannot list
Many events with an anti-racist theme take place every day. However, we cannot list any and all events even though they are well deserving of attention. Because WACAN is intended as a space that focuses on white anti-racism, we want to retain that focus in our event listings. If in doubt, it doesn't hurt to send us something for review and consideration.
What to submit
WACAN is an online medium. We need either a link to an online flyer or web page on your site, or we need a PDF flyer sent to us as an attachment. If you send us an email notice alone, we will try to format it for a listing, but time restrictions and the additional work entailed may delay its being posted.
