2008 Voting and tabulation rules

1. Only WACAN members can vote. You must login before voting.

2. You can vote for as many nominees, and as often, as you want.

3. A maximum of three nominees can be voted in for a given year in a given category.

4. A successful nominee must receive at least 10 votes total from at least three different members.

5. In tabulating votes, the tally for a nominee from the member who has placed the most votes will be set to 1. This means a single member cannot “run up the vote” by repeatedly voting for a nominee. It takes at least two members to run up the vote.

6. An example of the above. Bob votes 12 times, Carol votes 7 times, and Delores votes 3 times for the same nominee. Bob’s tally is the largest for this nominee. Bob’s tally is set to 1. The nominee receives 1 + 7 + 3 = 11 votes.

7. The display of voting results will list each member’s vote by screenname. Your votes are not anonymous.
